Parish Visitors

Welcome to Whitby!

Visitors are welcome to join us and we are always keen to hear from other parishes and to learn about pastorally creative ideas and activities in your home parish.

We look forward to sharing with you at mass and other services, as well as meeting you afterwards in the parish hall.

After the 10.30am mass at St Hilda’s on Sundays, we have a regular gathering for tea/coffee/snacks in the parish hall (Walker St., at the rear of the church).

If you are a frequent visitor to Whitby, or have made our community your second home, we invite you to participate in our parish life.

You can do this by contacting the coordinator from one or more of the various ministries described in this web site and work our together how you can be more involved whenever you are here in the parish. Together we can share in gratitude and praise of God &

help to make you feel increasingly part of our community here in Whitby – and it allows us to of get to know you better.

The parish comprises the scenic town of Whitby and surrounding villages including Sleights and Robin Hood’s Bay, all of which see an influx of visitors throughout the year. This is particularly true in the summer months and during school holidays and festive periods.
