Welcome to St Hilda´s and English Martyrs both Roman Catholic churches in the Diocese of Middlesbrough

The main parish church is St Hilda´s with its impressive main entrance on Bagdale, situated in the middle of Whitby.

English Martyrs is situated in the village of Sleights approximately 3 miles away.

Mass is 10.00 am Wednesday & Friday & 10.30 am on Sunday at St.Hilda’s Whitby

& Tuesday at 7pm & Sunday 9am at English Martyr’s, Sleights

Malcolm Hall will lead The Rosary starting at 9.40 am on Wednesday 2nd October at St Hilda’s.

Kath Nellis will lead the The Rosary at 6.40 pm on Tuesday 1st October at English Martyr’s, Sleights

English Martyrs, Sleights, Thursday 18^th April 6-7 pm

The children of St Hedda’s RC Primary School shared some of the choral work from their recent success at The Eskdale Festival. The presentation ended with a short thanksgiving service, followed by light refreshments.

Congratulations to Gill Almack who was recently commissioned as a Lay Funeral Minister by Bishop Terry at a service in York. Gill is also a Minister of the Word and the Eucharist and we thank her for her work in the parish.
