Welcome to St Hilda’s RC parish

Welcome to Whitby where we, in St Hilda’s RC parish, live and move and have our being in God (Acts 17, 28).

Our parish is a Roman Catholic Christian community covering Whitby, Sleights, Robin Hood’s Bay and the surrounding villages. It is part of the Diocese of Middlesbrough and includes the following churches:

St Hilda’s parish is a thriving local community which welcomes visitors to join for services or participate in one of the various ministries and charitable causes.

After the Sunday morning service at St Hilda’s, we serve tea, coffee and biscuits in the Church Hall at the rear of the church in Walker Street and visitors are welcome. Parishioners at English Martyrs at Sleights are also always open to a chat after Mass.

Whatever your reason for visiting our parish, we hope you enjoy the beautiful scenery and fellowship we have in this part of North Yorkshire.
